See your progress: the new dashboard, plan schedules and calorie estimates
Sequal Team · 4 July 2026 · 4 min read
You put the work in. Now Sequal shows it back to you.
The new Progress dashboard (chart icon on the Programs tab) turns your workout history into an at-a-glance picture of how you’re doing — computed entirely on your device, and designed to encourage rather than nag.
This week, at a glance
Workouts, minutes and reps for the current week, each with a friendly “+2 vs last week” nudge, plus a 7-day activity chart. Every plan you’re working through shows its days completed and what’s next.
Put your plan on the calendar
Programs can now have a real start date — today or any day in the future. Day 1 lands on that date, the dashboard shows today’s session, and an optional daily reminder pings you on days a session is due. Miss a day? Your next session is simply the first one you haven’t done. Nothing resets.
Streaks, goals and milestones — only if you want them
All the motivational extras are opt-in and off by default. Flip on what works for you in Settings → Progress & goals: a rest-day-friendly streak counter, a weekly goal ring (workouts or minutes), milestone badges and personal records.
Calories and BMI, done honestly
Add your height and weight (optional, and private) and Sequal estimates calories for each session from what you actually trained — the type of activity, the time you really spent, and your weight at the time. No weight on record? We show nothing rather than guessing.
Trends, for the long game — Sequal Pro
Pro members get the Trends section: monthly and yearly workout, minutes and calorie charts, a weight trend with your goal line, a calendar heatmap of training days, personal records — and up to 3 years of history backed up across devices (6 months on a free account; on-device data is always yours).
