Frequently asked questions
- What is Sequal?
- Sequal is a build-it-yourself app for fitness, yoga and breathing. You create activities, arrange them into groups, sequences and multi-day programs, and play them with timers, breathing phases, a metronome and voice cues.
- Is it free?
- Yes. You can create and play on your device for free, with no account. Free use is limited to 50 activities, 30 groups, 10 sequences and 1 program. Sign in (also free) to make those unlimited.
- What does the paid plan add?
- Sequal Pro adds cloud sync — a backup of your library and up to 1 GB of media, kept in sync across your devices. It's $5/month or $36/year (USD). You subscribe on the web — there are no in-app purchases on iOS or Android, and Pro unlocks in the app once you sign in.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The app works fully offline and unlimited without one. You only need an account to subscribe to Pro for cloud sync. You can sign in with email, Google or Apple.
- Can I use Sequal on more than one device?
- Yes. You can be signed in on several devices at once — signing in on one doesn’t sign you out on the others — up to 10 devices (signing in on an 11th signs out the one you’ve used least recently). Your library lives on each device; to keep it in sync automatically, add Sequal Pro cloud sync, or move it manually with a .fitpack file.
- How do I sign out a device I don’t recognise?
- Open Settings → Security → Devices & sessions to see every device signed in to your account, with the one you’re using marked “This device”. You can sign out any single device (your others stay signed in), or sign out of all devices at once — handy if a phone is lost or stolen.
- If I import a shared pack without Sequal Pro, is the media safe?
- A .fitpack never carries the actual media — it references it, and the media is copied to your device when you import. Media shared from someone’s own library is then stored only on your device: it can be lost if they remove their copy or you lose or replace your device. Catalog content stays available because it references Sequal’s library. Add Sequal Pro cloud sync to keep a safe backup of everything you import.
- What happens to content I haven’t backed up?
- Anything not backed up to the cloud lives only on the device you created or imported it on, and is lost if you lose or replace that device. In the app, items that aren’t backed up show a small warning marker. Sequal Pro cloud sync backs up your library and media so you can restore it on a new device.
- Can I sell or commercially use what I create?
- Yes. The activities, sequences and programs you build are yours, and there are no restrictions on using your own creations commercially — for your clients, classes or business.
- Who is responsible for the media I add?
- You are. Sequal does not and cannot check uploaded audio, video or images for copyright or other rights. You must only add media you own or are licensed to use. Rights holders can report content via our copyright page.
- Where is my data stored?
- Your library is stored on your device. If you use cloud sync, a copy is hosted on our infrastructure providers, which are located outside Australia (for example in the United States, European Union or Singapore). See our privacy policy for details.
- How do I delete my account and data?
- You can request account deletion in the app. After a 30-day cooling-off period (during which you can cancel), your personal details are anonymised and your cloud data is removed. Anything stored locally stays on your device until you remove it.
- Does Sequal track me?
- No analytics or error reporting is collected unless you opt in. Telemetry is off by default and you can change your choice at any time. We do not sell your data.
