Design your own yoga flow with timers and voice cues

Sequal Team · 5 June 2026 · 4 min read

Following a yoga video means moving at the instructor’s pace, in their order, with their timings. When you build your own flow, every pose lasts exactly as long as you want, in the sequence that suits your body. Here’s how to do it in Sequal.

Start with the poses

Each pose becomes an activity. For a simple flow you might create:

  • Child’s pose — 60s
  • Downward dog — 45s
  • Low lunge (each side) — 30s
  • Warrior II (each side) — 40s
  • Seated forward fold — 60s
  • Savasana — 3 minutes

Create each as a timed activity, give it a name, and add a cover image if you like. Add a spoken cue at the start of each (“ease into downward dog”) so you can keep your eyes closed and stay present.

Add the breath

Yoga is breath-led. Use breathing phases on a pose to guide a few slow breaths, or add a short box-breathing activity at the start to centre yourself. (See How to build a breathing exercise.)

Group and sequence it

Bundle related poses into a group — say a “Sun salutation” — and reuse it across flows. Then build a sequence that orders your groups and poses into a complete practice that plays start to finish. Press play and Sequal moves you through each pose, timing and cueing along the way.

Build a yoga program

Want a 30-day journey? Create a program in the Planner and assign a flow to each day. Track your progress as you go.

Free, hands-free, and yours

Sequal is free to use on your device, works offline on the mat, and what you build is yours to keep and share. No ads, no autoplay, no rush.
