Groups, sequences & programs
How to combine activities into groups, order them into sequences, and plan multi-day programs in Sequal.
Activities are the atoms. Groups, sequences and programs stack them into full sessions and plans. Everything is reusable — the same activity or group can appear in many sequences and programs.
The model
Activity → Group → Sequence → Program
- Activity — one timed block (exercise, cadence, media, break or announcement).
- Group — a bundle of related activities, like a warm-up or a core circuit.
- Sequence — an ordered session made of groups and activities that plays start to finish.
- Program — a multi-day plan; each day can contain sequences, groups or activities.
Build a group
- Tap + on Home and choose Group.
- Give it a name (for example “Warm-up”) and an optional cover image.
- Add activities to it and arrange their order.
A group plays its activities one after another, with prev/next controls.
Build a sequence
- Tap + and choose Sequence.
- Add groups and individual activities in the order you want them.
- Play the sequence to run the whole session end to end.
Plan a program
- Go to the Planner tab and tap Create your first program (or +).
- Choose a length — 7, 14 or 30 days, or a custom duration.
- For each day, add the sequences, groups or activities to do.
- Play a day’s session and track your progress through the program.
Because items are reused rather than copied, editing an activity updates it everywhere it appears.
Tips
- Use tags and search to manage a large library.
- Build a few reusable groups (warm-up, cooldown, core) and mix them into many sequences.
- Multi-day programs are ideal for challenges like a 30-day yoga or breathing plan.
