Export, share & import

Share Sequal routines as protected, time-limited .fitpack files — with your branding — and import what others send you.

Sequal bundles the items you choose into a portable .fitpack file you can share with a friend, client or another device. Shares are protected: each .fitpack is signed, carries your branding, and is valid for a limited window.

Sharing is a Sequal Pro feature. Creating a .fitpack requires a Pro subscription. Anyone signed in (free account included) can import a pack shared with them.

What’s in a .fitpack

A .fitpack is a single file that bundles the items you choose plus everything they need:

  • the selected activities, groups, sequences or programs;
  • any related items they reference;
  • their media (audio, video and images);
  • all the settings — timing, phases, cadence, cues and tags;
  • a signed stamp of who created it (and, for coaches, your branding).

Export & share

  1. Select what to share (Sequal Pro)

    Choose an item — or select several on the Home screen — and tap Share.

  2. Share a signed .fitpack

    Sequal gathers the items and their media, signs the pack, and opens your device’s share sheet so you can send it by message, email, AirDrop or any app. Each share is valid for a set window (5 days by default).

  3. Import on the other device

    The recipient (signed in) opens Sequal, chooses Import .fitpack in Settings, and picks the file. Sequal verifies the pack and shows who created it.

  4. Resolve any conflicts

    If an item already exists, choose how to handle it — overwrite, skip, or keep both.

  5. Re-import later from “Imported by me”

    Once you’ve imported a pack within its window, it’s saved to Settings → Manage shares → Imported by me, so you can re-import it later even after the share expires. Remove it from that list to forget it for good.

A .fitpack never contains the media itself — the media is copied to your device when you import. Without Sequal Pro, imported media is stored only on this device: it can be lost if the person who shared it removes their copy, or if you lose or replace your device. Add Sequal Pro cloud sync to keep a safe backup. (Catalog content in a pack stays available — it references Sequal’s own library.)

Using content shared with you

Imported content is yours to use, but not to alter or pass on:

  • you can play it, add your own items alongside it, reorder and delete it;
  • you can’t edit the imported items themselves or re-share them.

The original creator’s stamp travels with the pack, so shared work always traces back to its author.

Managing your shares

Open Settings → Manage shares to see everything you’ve Shared by me (with its expiry) and everything Imported by me. You can end a share early at any time — once it’s gone, it can no longer be imported by anyone who hasn’t already received it.

Backup vs cloud sync

To keep your own library safe and move it between your devices, use cloud sync (Sequal Pro) — it backs up and restores your full library. Sharing a .fitpack is for sending work to other people, not personal backup.
