Accounts & sign-in
When you need an account in Sequal, how to sign in with email, Google or Apple, and what changes when you do.
Sequal works fully on your device without an account, with no creation limits. You only need to sign in when you want to subscribe to Pro for cloud sync.
Do I need an account?
| You want to… | Account needed? | | --- | --- | | Create and play unlimited on your device | No | | Import and use .fitpack packs shared with you | No | | Back up and sync across devices | Yes — sign in + Sequal Pro |
Creating activities, groups, sequences and programs is unlimited and free on your device — no sign-in required. An account (free) is only needed to subscribe to Sequal Pro for cloud sync.
How to sign in
Open Settings and choose Sign in to sync. You can sign in with:
- Email — create a password and verify your address.
- Google — use your Google account.
- Apple — use Sign in with Apple.
With Apple sign-in you can choose to hide your email. If we don’t have a real email for receipts and account notices, the app may ask you to add one.
What changes when I sign in
- Your creation limits are removed.
- You can turn on cloud sync (with Sequal Pro).
- Your existing on-device library stays exactly where it is.
Staying signed in on more than one device
You can be signed in on several devices at once — signing in on your tablet doesn’t sign you out on your phone. You can stay signed in on up to 10 devices; if you sign in on an 11th, the device you’ve used least recently is signed out automatically to make room.
To see and manage them, open Settings → Security → Devices & sessions. There you can:
- see every device signed in to your account, with the one you’re using marked This device;
- sign out a single device you don’t recognise (your other devices stay signed in); or
- sign out of all devices at once — useful if a phone is lost or stolen.
Signing out
Signing out keeps your library on the device. If you’ve synced with Sequal Pro, your cloud copy is safe and will be there when you sign back in.
